Xmas Gift Memories
Pete-Bot's Picks
Digital Derby ~1978
This was fun. It was pretty easy to dodge cars. I think I took it apart later to see the belts that the cars ran on...
Hot Wheels Sizzler Racing Cars ~1980
Not as cool as a Tyco track racing set. The cars charged off a battery (ginormous lantern 6 volt) for 2 min then ran in a circle for about a minute
ChatBot by Tomy
ChatBot was cool. He just walked around and muttered whatever you just said to him.
Dark Tower ~1981-3
I can't embed this one, click on link. I think I asked for this game. I don't ever remember understanding how it worked.
Awesome commercial with Orson Wells though..
TI994A - Burgertime
Good stuff. Nice graphics for 1981.
Merlin!
I still have my original Merlin. It was and still is awesome. Plus great commercial.
There is another commercial with a better song...
Tele-Games (Atari 2600 clone)
Our family worked for Sears so we got the Sears clone of the Atari 2600 for xmas.
Great times, still works.
Best xmas gift ever.
Simon
Simon was cool, but this commercial is even better!
Bas-Ket
Seemed like would be cool, but kinda stank
No clip...
Mr. Quarterback
It would toss a football to you if you had no friends..sniff. They still make it.
Headbangers
A plastic football dude. You'd slam his head and he'd kick a little football through plastic uprights. They still make it.
TCR (Total Control) Racing
Slotless remote control racing. Like Tyco or AFX, but no slots. You could change lanes. Super cool and expensive - I never had it.
Skittle (bowling, pool, poker, tic-tac-toe, horseshoes, etc)
Don Adams made lots of commercials for these. I never had any skittle ball stuff, but the commercials are awesome.
It seems at some point in the 60s everything was converted over to Skittle.
There are other toys in the clip as well...
T-Bot's Picks

Pete-Bot: I love how he runs on a 8-track tape
